MELIKE YILDIRIM, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, Industrial and Systems Engineering

Hello and welcome to my personal website!!

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Wayne State University. Prior to joining Wayne State, I served as a prevention effectiveness fellow at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), with research focused on decision-making related to healthcare intervention strategies and policy changes. In 2021, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

My main research interest lies in the integration of data analytics and modeling in various application domains, with a particular emphasis on healthcare applications. Specifically, I work on data analytic approaches to medical decision-making related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic and infectious diseases.
